cramping..

so ive been cramping pretty bad for the past couple hours. its not like contractions i dont think though. its more of a constant bad cramp. does anybody know what this could be?

Menstrual like cramps are contractions.

yeah i feel like its pretty constant, i mean its not like its unbearable but definetly uncomfortable enough and it feels like just a constant menstrual like cramp.

Maybe you should call your L&D just to be sure.

That just happened to me a week ago an I went in to see the doc an was in preterm labor. I would b carefull an not b shy when calling the emergency. Line for ur doc...thank God they stopped things but it felt like bad cramps that just stayed there

okay yeah i called them just waiting on a call back! did you have any other symptoms besides the cramping?

I'm on my 3rd pregnancy.. It could be contractions, yes, but it sounds more like ligament stretching to me. Those muscles have to stretch a lot, which is going to cause you some pain. Make sure you're not dehydrated, and lie down on your side, if you're feeling movement lie regular, you're gonna be fine. But if you're dehydrated, you can have contractions. But not all contractions are labor. Just time them, but if it's constant, just try to drink a big glass of water and lir down,

yeah ive been drinking a lot of water to see if that helps them stop, i feel like its getting worse and in my back a lot now, so im gonna lay down and see if that helps. how do you really time contractions? with my first i got induced so never had to worry about that.

hunny with your last post saying it's getting worse you need to get in. It sounds like contractions. Stretching of the round ligaments aren't suppose to intensify like that at all.

Go in i had the same thing happining n thought it was nothing went in the next morning around three had my baby arounf ten that nite at only 25weeks

Thanx for posting this im 34weeks and I've been having the same problem, I heard it was normal so i didn't think anything of it but yesterday i could barely get around it was a constant period like cramp that would send sharp pains up abduction down my back then cause my hips to hurt really bad.... Im calling the doc tomorrow
