Deer almost never get that close to humans knowingly.

Yea I'm not sure why, they bring in a bunch and just let them go where ever lol They usually end up hit by a car or train and then hella people run out and get free meat.

Do you live in northern Cali? I watched a documentary about how it's really remote up there.

I've been within feet of deer several times. Just the other day when I went to check the mail, there were a group of 12 at the end of my driveway... I slowly walked by them, me staring at them, and them staring at me, the whole time haha. They are a little too comfortable with people where I live, makes me a nervous wreck lol.
