Mom to six year old crying during spray tan "see those white legs? Don't you want pretty legs?"
The kids seem to hate it!
Why send young girls the image that if they don't tan, load on make up, pluck their brows Etc that they aren't good enough!

I caught a few minutes of that show once, and it really bothered me. I agree with your statement: Let kids be kids! Don't parade them around with 12 pounds of makeup and a faux tan and sexualize them before they start kindergarten!

we've taught our children that it's the icky mom show and we never treat people that way.

That show is disgusting. I can't watch it and will never let my daughter act or dress anything like those girls.

i used to watch it to see their talents and stuff. then i found dance moms. some might argue that's not much better, but at least they don't go that much into looks unless it's for costumes. i'd like to put DD in natural pageants but so that she knows she's beautiful without all that unnecessary crap.

Makes me kind of glad I have all boys. Just the way this society keeps pushing girls to be more sexualized just..disturbs me.

there is a ton of boys on the show too! theres 1 boy whose been in pagents since he was a newborn and he is just as crazy as the girls. they do his nails and makeup and tanning and his mom was CRAZY!

I watch it. Have to remeber they find the nastiest mamas and kids. Sometimes there are good ones. I have put my oldest daughter in pageants when she was younger. Its nothing like you see on TV. I will say that if anyone has seen the episodes with Niki the coach. She needs to be punched in the mouth

I agree. That show is down right abuse as well. No way in hell I would EVER allow someone to speak to my daughter the way that fat smurf speaks to those little girls. And the dumbass moms thinks she's God!! It's sick sick sick. I watched one episode and was bawling for those babies.

yeah thats just one boy there is a ton of other boys..... but that one actually beat all the girls in this one episode.
