two.. under one?

About a month ago I found out we were expecting again, our DD is 5 months old, and I am currently 9 weeks in... Which means we have ourselves a set of Irish twins, if not even sooner. I was due October 13th 2012 with our DD and ended up having her September 20th, this time around I am due September 28th and hoping I make it to my due date just to be sure we are not crossing on the same birthdays!! Does anybody have Irish twins? Or even 2 under 2? If so, how did you cope? Was it really as hard as you had imagined? Our DD is a really good baby, sleeps through the night and is content 95% of the time. I am praying that it wont be that difficult but defiantly not expecting it to be easy!

My sister and I are 11 months part..my mom said it was hard but she did it as a single mother..I remember we were pretty sneaky lol. I have a few friends that have Irish twins never really asked about how hard it is. Idk if I could deal. My baby girl is great but having 2 that young scares me. Good luck

I had 3 under 3. My twins were 25 months old when my son was born. I was lucky to have that extra year but, it was a handful still. The best part about them being young is that it is easy for the adjustment to be the "norm". The hardest part is initiating and figuring out a schedule that works best in your home. You are about a year apart with them so most of the hard baby stuff should be behind you with the first one. Expect a little regression. Make sure to have special time for you and the oldest without baby included. It will thwart jealousy and keep most regressions at bay. Brag on the big girl accomplishments to make her feel good. You can do it. I have faith in you.

Thank you, my sister and I are 17 months apart and I think it is great having siblings so close in age although now thinking that I am going to be the parent of two children so close in age is a different feeling!

Thank you, I couldn't imagine 3 under 3! We had plans to wait a good 4 years between our DD and another baby but life has altered our original plan majorly haha! I know it will be tough although I do have a wonderful support group!

I am one of 3 girls. We are all 13 months apart in age. Sitting right on top of each other. Lol. I remember the cat fights and what not. I am the middle child. I get along great with my older sister. We wish my parents would have held off for some better DNA rather than giving us the PITA that is our little sister. Lol

My nieces are irish twins 1 year apart, but what makes it even better is that they have different moms!! plus their sister who was born 2 years later was born 1 week exactly before their birthdays.

That is pretty cool for them to all have a birthday around each other. Technically the older two aren't Irish twins with different mom's. Your brother must have a special "timing" magnet to make that work. Lol

Lol, I get along with 2 of my 3 siblings. I get along great with my younger sister, and got along great with my brother since day one. Sadly, we lost him last year in car accident   Which turned my older sister into a stuck up bitch for some reason. It has effected our family on a huge level and it will never be the same. Which is a shame since we are both pregnant right now and it would be great if we could share the experience together. I am excited to have them grow up together, I remember great memory's that would have never happened without my siblings!

Step-irish twins ha lol, either way it's pretty neat, they just do one big birthday with all the family and friends, and then do something small on their actual birthdays. The only thing I don't like about it is that they always get the same stuff. Kind of as if they were triplets. It isn't as bad now that they are 10, 9, and 7 but I know it would get annoying to never have something of your own.
Not to mention in the long run when they get older it will be expensive. like when one turns 16, usually you have at least a good 2 years before the next will turn 16 to save for another car, but they have a year, and college being the same if the parents help pay for stuff.

I am sorry for your loss

People grieve differently. Maybe she is detached as a self preservation. Who knows. It is up to you on if you want to try for a relationship with her in the future. My thoughts on her is that she is reacting poorly to the loss.

My younger sister is an ass hole who refuses to have anything to do with my kids. She is too worried about hanging out with my low budget cousin. And that is the nicest way I can describe her. Lol
