Copper IUD

I'm getting it on the 6th. I've done my research and know all the pros and cons, but what I want to know is what is it like to get it in? Did you have heavier periods? How long did that last?

Forever.
My periods went from 2.5 days with heavy to light to 10 days of super heavy bleeding. I needed to change my super tampons every 2-4 hours for a week. It was awful.

Yea Ive heard it can suck.. I use a Diva Cup though so I wont have the tampon problem.

It hurt like hell when they measured me to have it put in, and it didn't hurt that bad when it was put in, but I was in serious pain for like a week. I ended up having a period for like six months straight and had it took out. It was such an awful experience. I hope it works better for you

I hear things like this but then I also hear awesome things about it.. I really hope it works for me! I'm not entirely comfortable with any other major form of birth control..
