Baby kicking you in the back?

posted 23rd Feb
I'm 32 weeks on baby three.
I never experienced this with my other two
but all morning i keep getting sharp..pangs? in my lower back.
like, the feeling of a kick, in my lower back that just hurts...pretty bad.

Is this baby kicking me in the back?
or something else?

I've always heard that you really can't feel it when baby kicks backwards, but...stranger things have happened.

If this just started occuring today though, I'd be concerned with the possibility of a UTI starting to spread into your kidneys.

wouldn't i know if i had a UTI though?
i have no UTI-type symptoms.

i was just at my drs yesterday too and did the usual urine sample- do they check for that type of thing?

Yeah, they check for that....I had an ob check yesterday too and got informed I have one. I like, NEVER have UTI symptoms though until they get REALLY bad.

Baby could be putting pressure on a nerve..that's the only thing I can think of.

just to let you know, you can have a full blown kidney infection, but no UTI or symptoms of a UTI, this happened to me last summer and it got REALLY really bad and I ended up having a tube put in my kidney that drained into a bag for three months so my kidney tube would heal

I would at least bring it up to a doctor, kidney infections are bad, bad news. When I was getting the nephrostomy tube put in, they mentioned that pregnant women are the number one most susceptible to kidney infections and getting nephrostomy tubes.

Sometimes I can feel him moving in the front and then BAM a huge kick feeling in my lower back. So idk, it always happens when he IS moving. And hurts like hell
