Proud infidel

I was thinking about this because I saw a truck yesterday with a bumper sticker on it that said "American Infidel" in Arabic and English on it. I was thinking, what the point of it is? Like, does he think he is expected to be Muslim or something and thus has to show his pride of being a non-Muslim? I've seen a LOT of bumper stickers, tattoos and t-shirts with this:


It says "Kafir" which means infidel.

I just want to know what the point to be made with it?

Maybe they are just really big Jeff Dunham fans?

Yeah! I mean I've only ever seen white/American folks with these things.

I just think it's kind of dumb. Like why should I (or anyone else) care if he's not a Muslim lol? This isn't Saudi Arabia. Just doesn't seem like the type of thing you'd need to advertise because usually, the type of people I see who have these stickers and stuff are quite obviously not Muslim.

To me it's the same as if I walked up to everyone I met and introduced myself like "Hi, I'm not Christian."

I assumed it was a guy from the Middle East, too. Now I think he probably is just trying to offend people.

I had an Arab guy at a gas station say that to me and I almost died. At first I didn't know if I should laugh or pee my pants and then he goes, "Have you seen that puppet guy? He's too funny!" It was one of the best moments of my life. I'm now a loyal customer.
