bridal shower gift?

I was invited to a bridal shower and dont really know the girl. She was my SO's best friend before we got together. So I know nothig about this girl and have never been to a bridal shower. What the heck do I get her?

The wedding registry is a good place to start. Traditionally the gifts from the wedding registry are bought for the shower and cash is given at the wedding.
