Renting a house vent :/

Currently my husband and I live in a two bedroom two bathroom apartment, its nice but they are trying to raise the rent to over $800 a month which imo is insane for a small town (the biggest restaurant we have within ten minutes here is mcdonalds.)
We are looking at houses to rent...we found two similar in size but one is 75 more a month but they allow pets there, I don't know if I could handle getting rid of my dog.. the other house is more updated has a fenced in yard and is less expensive it also comes with all appliances and has a second bathroom. ughh... I just wish the more expensive house had appliances and had more updates.. we have the option of getting either house but I don't know which one I would rather rent. SOoooo irritating!

Yeah I know a lot of places rent is more expensive, but we live in rather small town and we live in the most expensive apartment complex and as of now our rent is 595. they sold our building and the new owners want to raise rent on everyone who isnt under lease still. Our lease was up in August.

when we moved in our apartment 3 years ago it was 760,then went up to 785, now its 815

and nothing is included, utilities are separate

I wish I could find an apartment that cheap. I live in the absolute cheapest 2 bedroom that I could find on short notice and I hate it here, since you get what you pay for. I pay $965 a month now and when we move we're looking at paying at least $1100-$1200 for what we want.

I'd take that! We're looking to buy a house now, because it is literally more expensive to rent than buy here. A 2 bed/2 bath apt is close to $1000/month. No utilities included.

weve been looking to move and its just not gonna happen. our place is nice but not big... and yes i can find cheaper but they are either ugly or in a crappy neighborhood. with what im looking for itll be above 900. were going to have to just stay esp. when cameron starts school because i dont want to have to switch schools when hes young... and theres quite a few schoosl in our town and it depends on where you live which one he goes to

I've never paid less than 800 for rent... I need to move to small town! Lol.. I know there are houses in the absolute worst part of my city that go for 650/750 a month plus utilities, but they're usually rented out by pimps for prostitutes, so not a good place to raise a family lol

I live in a tiny ass smurf hole house ad pay 1800$ only partial utilities included a month. I wish my rent was that cheap

we paid 400 in alabama and it was a nice apartment too. ONLY good thing about that state lol.

I see people from like, the Midwest and stuff posting about what they pay for rent and I get so jealous. The cost of living is so much cheaper every else it seems(besides New York)... If I could convince SO's ex wife to move too, so all the kids could come, we'd be moving

We literally live in redneck central in ohio but I'm glad our rent isn't a ton of money, no utilities are included with ours either...I just know that I would rather rent a house if I am going to pay the same amount of money in rent for an apartment. Its just hard to find all the things we want in a house in a decent price range and one that allows pets.

I live in SD and this smurf is expensive. We pay $1100, NOTHING included and our house is a piece of smurf.
