You definitely need to communicate this to him...maybe see about talking to the chaplain or see what is offered through his branch's community services. Also, every post has marriage retreats throughout the year...they're usually free or little cost and always some nice hotel/resort/etc.

Why don't you go be active. Maybe then he'll follow suit.

IK like the idea of a date jar. Putting random ideas in it and choosing. Something else you could do is blind-fold him and get him in the car and take him somewhere. Since you have all day at home to come up with ideas while taking care of the house that is deff something you could do.
