Moms with two children and one has autism.

Did your other child get diagnosed with autism as well? And if so, how did you deal with it?

I have a friend who has two children, both diagnosed with autism. Her strength seriously amazes me.

There's one mom who used to be on here all the time who had 2 kids with autism, I don't think the 3rd has it.

I have 3 too, only 1 has autism so far. I don't expect the other 2 to be diagnosed though.

Regardless if 1 has it or 2, it's hard with multiple kids and dealing with it.

I have to be on anxiety meds to handle it better and "deal"

And my 1 has been diagnosed with autism, ADHD, he has a speech delay, behavioral disorder, and we're talking with the counselor to deal with anxiety and possibly OCD.

My sister has 5 kids. Her third is autistic, the others arent

I have a friend with 8 children, the 2nd youngest is on the spectrum, none of her other children have been diagnosed with anything.

Yeah. They dropped the "A" bomb today at my youngest's appointment. He's showing signs and has a speech delay right now. He only says 4 words. My oldest has autism as well as other disorders.

My friend isn't on BG, but I can always reach out to her if you need someone who has "been there" to talk to. She's a real sweet girl.

That's so difficult. Just having one is hard. Although since mine has behavioral problems(severe aggression towards others), I have no idea how I'd handle that.

Especially since the doctors already have me on medication to handle my anxiety to handle him.

If during the evaluation they for sure say he has it, I would greatly appreciate that. ♥

My oldest has severe aggression at times. His frontal lobes are severely debilitated though, so they said he'll always have the mind of a one year old. So I know Tyler's won't be as bad as Aidan's; I had just really feared this and never wanted Tyler to have autism.

My cousin has two boys. One has severe autism and the younger one has Aspergers. Thankfully, with early intervention, both are doing very well these days. It was rough when they were little.

I fought against a diagnosis of autism for 3 and 1/2 years before I gave in. I kept hoping it was something different.

I'm still terrified my following kids will have it, but it's something that just comes with having kids ,you never know. But the anxiety of it will kill you. The worry.

My oldest is on medication for the aggression. Thankfully, although he's isolated at school and mainly by himself, he has been able to excel. When he entered school last year(kindergarten), he had the mental capacity and learning ability of an almost 3 year old. That far behind because Early Intervention failed him. now thanks to severe hard work from him, me, and the teachers, his brain has finally kicked in and now he's almost ahead.

I have pretty severe anxiety when his behavioral problems kick in. It's really hard for me. I just don't know how to handle it.
