what is everyones thoughts on it? should it be legalized? should it be decriminalized? should they recognize it for its medicinal purposes? Do you see it as a drug? what do you think about parents that smoke ?

Legalized 100%. Just like gay marriage. It's human rights. It's a smurfing plant for gods sake!  

I think it should be decriminalized and recognized for medical use. I don't use it much anymore but don't see a problem with anybody using it. It is a drug and can be abused but it can be beneficial.

I think it should be legal, I smoke legally for medicinal purposes, and recreational. If someone thinks that makes me a bad parent, that's whatever to me. I could not possibly care less. My kids have a great life, I'm an educated and responsible adult. I view it as a drug, sure. So is caffeine. Ibuprophen. Laxatives. I don't equate "drug" with "bad".

  I know quite a few people who abuse it. But it does have many benefits

It should be legalized and used more for medicinal purposes definitely. In COlorado the taxes they get from the sale of the MMJ in the pharmacies goes to our schools which are HORRIFICALLY underfunded so hopefully those will get better soon.

When I was 15 I was a pedestrian in a hit & run drunk driving accident that ruined my life. I live every day in constant pain and I always will. If he had been high, I'd probably just have a bruise >.<

it should be legalized. its not anymore dangerous than alcohol or cigarettes, its actually good for you! and it will be legalized just as soon as the govt figures out how to make money off of it. after all we are a land of money and govt, not land of the people.

It should absolutely be legalized. It's a helluva lot less harmful than alcohol, and that smurf is legal.

Marijuana itself is NOT a drug. It's a plant that CAN be used as a drug.

Only time I care about a parent smoking weed is when they put the weed first. If all your other bills are paid and your kid has a safe, warm place to sleep and food on the table, I see nothing wrong with it. Many people use it for their anxiety and I could see that doing a lotta good for a parent. Also what's smurffy is if the parent is smoking in front of the kid, forcing them to inhale the stuff too. I very much doubt it happens often and that most are more responsible about it (and actually give a flying smurf about their kid), but I do know it happens which is smurffy.

The only other thing that sucks is that currently, as the laws are, parents (without licenses) are taking a risk of having their children taken away or facing some sort of CPS-involved punishment. I think it's dumb that marijuana is illegal, but since that's how it is, I also find it dumb to risk losin' your kid over it. Not worth it, in my opinion.

Also it kind of depends on the parents who are smoking. It can be done properly, but a lot of people don't. You shouldn't smoke around your kids no matter what it is, and it should be saved for at night when the kids are asleep, or if there is a sober person in the house to take care of the kids if they wake up preferably. Definitely can not leave the stuff out where the kids can find/play with it.

I definatly think it should be legalized. I don't smoke around my daughter or when she is in my care alone. I think anything that alters your mind is a drug though. Caffine is a drug also. I do hate it when people smoke with their kids next to them in the same room or let them smoke it. So I do think it should have age laws, though I probably smoked way more as a teen than an adult myself. I see nothing wrong with responsible adults smoking if they can afford to do so whether it is for medical reasons or not.

100% legalized! It's a plant! I would rather have an edible or vaporize it than take ibuprofen or Advil which messes with your liver and all that! Maybe smoking it isn't the safest because of the butane from your lighters but I use a hemp wic. 100% natural! Better than alcohol or cigarettes!!! I have my medical card and I don't know wht I woul do with out it. I do not see it as a drug. I see it as a natural medicine!

Legalized. I don't care. I don't do it, never have, and unless I needed it for medical use I'd never do it. Just not my thing.

However, if cigarettes are legal, and alcohol is legal, I see no good reason to keep it illegal. I see it as a drug, yes. But so is caffeine. It should be used by adults and used in a responsible manner, like all things.
