Illinois Mamas! CS question!

Okay for all you Illinois Mamas I have a question regarding child support. They are really starting to annoy me.
How long did it take for you to get your "interview" with child support? I asked my dhs case worker since I know with having medical assistance that is reported to CS and she gave me the CS hotline number and told me it could take up to a year for them to contact me! Ugh. I have called the hotline numerous times at all hours of the day for the past month and the stupid automated system says "all representatives are busy please call at a later time" and hangs up on me  
The one time I did talk to someone they said I would have to wait for my interview to be set up and to bring all the info on BD since he didnt sign the AOP at the hospital when DS was born. Well it would be nice to have an interview! Or atleast have a date for one scheduled.

So how long did it take for you?
I have a friend that said it took her till her LO was 13 months to even get a call to schedule an interview. I feel like IL is an insanely slow state now.

So you haven't filed for CS yet? I just walked into domestic relations, took a number and sat in line. Took about two hours

The case is automatically filed when DS was born since Im on state medical. But apparently have to wait for a stupid interview. Are u from IL?

It works the same in pretty much every state web it comes to Medicaid and CS. They'll automatically file for you. The state WANTS to be reimbursed for that $ KWIM? So they shouldn't make you wait a year. GL!!

Sadly it seems to be the way its going. And Ive heard from several people it could take a year. Even DHS told me that. Stupid CS. Just wanted to hear what other IL mamas went thru.
