cat box?

what do you clean your actual cat box with?



and recently my cat has been peeing everywhere, like for instance he peed RIGHT NEXT to the cat box this morning.
I usually clean it every other day... and the he peed in my sons toy box yesterday.... idk what to do.

I went to get his neutered the other day, but instead of it costing $40 its going to cost $450 because only one of his balls has dropped so they have to actually cut him open to find the other one.... and I don't just have $450 sitting around

We use a scooper thing but put new litter in every week
Is that through a vet?
We did ours through a local animal refuge league and it was based off of income

With my experience with male cats they won't stop marking until they are fixed. My Dad's cat is old, but fixed & for some reason he always pees right outside the litter box. lol I know some people that use cat litter that is like corn & I guess that works amazing! As for getting him fixed the local animal shelter where I live has clinics once a month where they will fix your pet for $75!

I would look around at other places to try and get it done. He probably won't stop until he is neutered. I have a special cat box where the pee goes through to a pad and you just change the pad once a week, scoop the poop out daily, and replace the pellets in the box monthly. When I am throwing out old pellets and putting new ones in I clean it with like a clorox spray type deal.

That's what I do. I take it outside and hose it out then sanitize it with hot bleach water.

That works. Just don't use something with a citrus sent, I guess that makes them not want to be around it. lol

lol I got these sprays to get rid of the pee odor and they smell like citrus

and will 'clean linen' scented bleach work?

Those work good! The vet told me cats don't like the smell so they avoid it. We sprayed all the areas he was peeing with a citrus spray & he stopped going near them. lol

so im guessing this lime scented dishsoap isn't a good idea to use on the box? lol

I've seen it at Walmart.
