What a jerk. He's got issues. Tell him next time he wants lunch tell you before you get there to get his cheque.

Who do y'all know that works at sears? Sounds like that's some kind of trigger.

It's y'all's bank account. You put his check in it. He can check it whenever he wants without you getting up in arms about it.

Dude was working and hungry. You could have done without the friend meeting, fawning, and cell phone fixing. I'm sure there was a Wendy's close by.

I get grumpy when I'm hungry too.

Oh, and we know the very nice photographer that he knows I talk to, that's who works at Sears. And my female friend from high school who works at Belk, who he is also friends with.

I have to agree with this.

And no matter how much I eat at 9am, I am starving by 12 or even before. If I told my SO I have stuff to do, he would ask me if I could run get him lunch first, or I would have gotten him lunch in the first place. Just makes more sense to get that out of the way for your working man.

I don't think he's a jerk, sounds like maybe he was checking to see when you had finally bought him some food.

And I'm not saying any of this in a bitchy way towards you. Just trying to put it how I would be thinking if I was the one waiting on lunch, not knowing when it would come.

Which I would be fine with if I hadn't told him it would be a couple of hours.   I warned him well in advance that I had things I needed to do, and a few things I had been planning to do all week, and that I was getting lunch LAST. He said that's fine. If he'd asked me to go get it earlier, I would have, but he wanted a nice fancy Japanese plate of food, and I get that at the mall.

Sorry, but I refuse to fight Friday afternoon mall traffic twice just because he doesn't want to take his lunch break.

I can kind of understand why he was upset, I probably would've too if my husband did that, at least you could have texted to let him know you were running late instead of letting him sit there guessing whats going on and why you were taking so long. But he does sound kind of like he has some trust issues that need to be worked on and when you want to stay in a relationship with trust issues, you need to be patient with that person and understand, trusting someone like that takes time no matter whether they have cheated or not, my husband and I both used to have major trust issues since we were both cheated on, it took about 2 years to work through it.

I agree with you. When I plan on getting lunch for/with SO I will do the errands after lunch so in case something unexpected does come up I won't be late or not even show.
I'd be kind of moody too if I was him.

If my DH handed me his check and requested I get him some food before I go spend the money he's making then I would make that a priority.
Pics, Verizon, and visiting with a friend could wait...but then again, my man comes first without a doubt- if hes hungry I feed him and the other petty smurf can wait.

I don't mean to sound rude either or bitchy. But my husband gets grumpy without food too, and I can understand his frustration. While he was working you could have at least brought him lunch afterall, you did just take his paycheck and managed to get that taken care of in a timely fashion. The hubs and I just like to see eye to eye on things, while if I were in this situation, I would have probably been upset if I were in his shoes too, but you have to look at his point of view.
