Went to the dr yesterday and....

My baby is measuring 3 wks ahead of schedule according to everything but his femur measurement. Estimated weight is 5lbs 12oz. He gained almost 3 lbs in a month. Any other mommy's measuring 3 wks ahead on everything but one thing? They measured my belly and it's measuring 35wks. They said my problem is the gestational diabetes, but was curious if anyone else is the same way, and whether you are concerned or not. My husband keeps telling me not to worry... But it's freaking me out. They even mentioned a possible c section may be necessary if he continues to grow like he is.

I haven't had this, but have a friend who did. She wound up having to have a c-section because the baby wouldn't engage. Just watch your sugar intake carefully, because more sugar means lots more amniotic fluid, which could cause some issues. For my friend, her baby had so much room to move around that the cord wound up around her neck several times. The baby was fine, but was born via c-section after 20 hours of labor! Try not to worry, but watch your sugar consumption, and have regular checkups to make sure everything is ok!   Best wishes!

ultrasounds can be WAYYY off honestly i dont think your body would make a baby that you can't labor naturally but that my opinion

A lot of mothers have it and their babies are ok. Ultra sounds are usually off by some degree and if you dont want a c section you can have a trial of labor.

All the ultrasounds I had with my daughter were right on with weight and all.. So they aren't always off..   I have weekly appointments (I'll be 33wks tomorrow) and non stress tests every wk. They are keeping a close eye on the baby.. I'm pretty sure they are pretty accurate on the measurements... Seeing how I am measuring 35 wks when they measured my belly...

I have had one friend and couple of inlaws that had this issue and it was always due to gestational diabetes. My bf's ex had this is issue too but for an unknown reason but she ended up being able to have him vaginally.

Now my babies always run small so when they measure me any time after 25 weeks, I always look a couple weeks earlier than I should be.

I measured right on with my daughter my entire pregnancy and had her at 38 wks.   I've had braxton hicks with this one since 28 wks.. 30 wks they became timeable but stop after 2 hrs. My dr said its from being on my feet too long and his heading pushing down and adding pressure. (His head has been down since 27 wks and he doesnt have much room to move anymore). I can't stand for longer than 2 hrs at a time anymore. I am pretty sure I won't be working much longer since I am constantly on my feet for 4+ hrs at a time.
