Children with allergies

What do you do to keep them comfortable?

We've been going through some extreme weather changes lately and now R has a nagging cough, clear runny snot (like a faucet) and watery eyes. He said his throat doesn't hurt, and his snot is clear - so I'm going with allergies rather than a cold.

I got some OTC Claritan for kids, breathing treatments 3x a day, some all natural honey lollipops, and Vapo Rub on his feet at night - but nothing seems to be helping

What else can I do to help him? He can barely sleep with all this coughing. There's no mucus or anything, it's just dry.

try different allergy meds. my dd tried singular, clairatin, zertec, and benedryl...benedryl is the only one that helps at all!

I never even thought of that. SO is the same with meds. The only thing that works is the off brand of Allegra.

I hope he gets better soon! My dd is starting her second year of allergy injections and still has to take benedryl...

Poor baby.  

Florida SUCKS for allergies. I'm so happy I never had to deal with them. But everyone else in the house does so I'm just as miserable. Lol

My daughter has allergy shots every week and we use singulair and xyzal as controllers, breathing treatments as necessary! Also a good investment was her allergy pillows and sheets! And an air purifier for her room!

He has a prescription for cetrizine and nasonex it gets really dusty over here and my son gets allergies bad
