Youre trying to prove a situation you really have no knowledge of.... an income would be money in my hand not items. Those are considered gifts and not taken into account. I was asked did he provide for my children and the answer was yes. I was asked his income and they placed him on CS which he agreed too. Just bc you dont agree with my decision to get welfare bc my boyfriend makes a certain amount of money does not mean i am committing fraud. I have no reason to lie to anyone for anything that i am getting. Sorry. Good try though.

I dont know if you are technically defrauding the government, but you are in spirit. The intention of FS is NOT to fund the food of a family living apart in which the earner is making $70k. There are LOTS of familes that dont live under the same roof where there is only one breadwinner or the income of one is low. They wouldnt dare apply for assistance as they are choosing to live apart and it is not the responsibility of the government to help fund 2 households. Can you imagine if everyone did what you are doing?
What is mind-blowing to me is that you think that this is OK. As i said before, i think it's obvious that you have been raised in the entitlement society and dont know any better. I sincerely you strive to get out and get your kids out.
Make sure they get the best teachers and that they are good students and have goals in life. Only live in good school districts or earn enough money to send your kids to excellent private schools. Get them a life in which people dont think they are entitled to money from strangers.

Its not by choice for us to live apart and as soon as we can we are moving back together. I was raised down south and never knew what a food stamp was until i moved up North but i have also been taking care of myself since i was able and on my own since 17. It is temporary and i felt i needed it. If i didnt i wouldnt had applied and it does help.I currently reside in public housing and he cannot reside with me as a result so yes right now my situation is bad but i dont plan on being in it forever.

Id rather not disclose why but its not a choice. We lived together in NY but once we moved we could not move together. Im in the Housing Authority and he cannot move with me so he took a job in DC for 6 months. Once he returns hell have enough to move us but he has to handle issues as well before he can do that.

Well, whether its a choice or not, it isn't the tax payers responsibility to help people live apart,. There are many couples maintaining 2 households without expecting tax dollars to fund their inconvenience.

I guess but I felt I needed help and I now receive it

You have got to be kidding me.... his child support covers rent, car, money for clothes, school, and you are still on your lazy ass and want people to pay for your food? What DO you pay for? Nothing? Sitting on your lazy ass while he pays child support and you get free food from the government? Ya know, since his money covers so much you could go get a nice little side job and there ya go, money for food.

We lost ALL of our assistance, because my husband has a new job making $12 an hour. That's about $1900 a month, BEFORE taxes...As a family of 4 we no longer qualify for anything, but smurfs like you simply don't report their SO's income and get everything you qualify for. I would have been better off never marrying my husband!

You don't know what I do so don't pretend that you do. I just had a baby and since birthing him I have been applying for jobs. Don't pretend you know me

Its clear that you didn't read my previous posts so here we go again. We don't live together and we will not be wed until November. I reported his income which is why they placed him on child support that is why I now have an income bc I previously did not.

I think she is pointing out the obvious. If you were married you wouldnt be getting support.... which you shouldnt be if our system actually did what it was supposed to do.

How is it not what they were supposed to do? Are they supposed to count his income as mine although we are unwed? No. Were they supposed to hold him responsible for the one child he procreated? Yes. Is he supposed to be held liable for my other two children and I? Legally? No but does he? Yes he does what he can. Seemed to me they followed protocol.
