Looks like a C-Section...

posted 22nd Feb
Welp, my VBAC attempt failed. I came in last night and it took them almost 30 minutes to break my water, and they finally got it. Bad thing is that the baby's head has plugged it up, so no fluid is really able to leak out, which means contractions aren't steady. After all the cervical manipulation and rupture of the membranes last night, I started having seriously painful contractions every two minutes for several hours. Surely I thought that was dilating me. Later, I was soooo tired and realized that I fell asleep for about an hour... which I thought was a bad sign. My contractions slowed to every 4-6 minutes, and so they checked me. I was still only dilated to a two, which is actually what my doctor stretched me to when she broke my water. I'd been "laboring" for about 10 hours. They checked me again a couple of hours later, and nothing changed except that my contractions slowed to a near stop. Looks like a RCS for this mama.
