Thew warrantee is only good for a few years and only for the original owner so if you got it from someone second hand, the warrantee is void.

Is it fully charged? When was the last time you changed the membranes? Are you using it as a double or just one??

Was it completely attached to the breast? Like was there a possibility that it wasn't completely attached and had an air suction leak?

I didn't have the In Style, but had the Free Style. I had problems once in a while but it was always because I hadn't completely dried all the parts before putting it back together again. That is my only suggestion!

thats what i thought at first but i even unplugged and plugged everything back in to try again. like it sounds like the machine part itself just isn't working that hard and is slower. even checked the speed and intensity.

yeah ive been making sure everything is completely dry before using it and even let it run for a bit so the moisture in the tubes go away. i thought possibly water may have gotten into it but i've never seen any in there let alone moisture in the tubes get close enough to the machine portion.

Sorry I have the PIS and the Swing, the swing charges, the PIM plugs in. how long did your aunt use it before she gave it to you and how long have you had it. How often did you each use it??

yeah mine plugs in. =/ my aunt said shes had it for roughly 8 years so it has had a long life. not sure how often she used it, but used it for 2 kids. i've had it for roughly a month and use it almost every day. really sucks, sounds like i need to just buy a new one.
wondering if there is a way to take it apart and fix it, hope this isn't like beating a dead horse lol.

Yeah after eight years an being on its third baby, there is a good chance it's done. You could look into getting it repaired but it might just be cheaper to buy a use pump on eBay. If you can find just the pump, with no accessories, you could spend under $100-$150.

100-150 isn't too bad, i'll have to look into that. any specific pump you'd recommend? i've only tried this one and dont know what other ones work well.

If you're exclusively pumping the PIS is great. I almost exclusively nursed so it was kind of inconvenient to have to lug it out every time I wanted to pump. For my needs the Swing was much more well suited. It's small, has plenty of power and is rechargeable so I could take it with me in my purse/diaper bag when I needed to, plus a used one will be even less than the PIS if you just look for the pump without the accessories. I only pumped once in a while, maybe once a day at most so it was great for me. I could use it on one breast while I nursed on the other side.

my son hasn't been latching on well for the past few days so i've needed to pump. i can use the parts from my old pump on a new pump right?
