re: medela pump in style

If you buy another medela pump (any type), the pieces are interchangeable. I actually had a medela hand pump that i used for pieces with my electric in style.

This. I had one set of accessories (parts) that I used for both of my pumps. They were both Medela so it worked out fine.

i have to wait till i file my taxes before buying a new one. i had to get one through WIC just now, and am already not too fond of it. its a "ameda purely yours". can't really complain though since it still gets the job done and was free.

Try taking it to a lactation consultant...it just might need new membranes

yeah i went and got one from them. not sure if i like it though, but it does work. i randomly tried my medela one again just for smurfs and giggles and it all the sudden works again. not sure what happened. but when i looked at reviews on the one i got from wic compared to the medela, i guess the one from wic is more sanitary. its impossible for milk to get into the tubes with the way its set up. i guess i just dont like it much because its not built into one bag, its just kinda all over the place. ill probably stick with the one from wic though. i was getting tired of having to buy new tubes often for the medela and wasted money on steam bags and special breast milk soap to clean them.

and if anyone else who has medela and plans on using the steam bag to clean the tubes DONT do it!   it seemed to make them even worse. the milk didnt come out at all and the tubes became permanently cloudy.
