I have a appointement set for testing but right now I have to keep a log of when and how much he eats. Everytime I have tried solids he is not interested and gets a belly ache bad. Also my sister in law vaccinates and her son got RSV bad and was hospitilized so dont I dont think thaty kids only got it cause they arent vaccinated.

My daughter isn't fond of any solids either. She just turned 6 months though.

Vaccinations are not 100% you can still get the things but it helps a lot and potentially a life saver.

I doubt introducing solids is really the answer. It sounds like he's eating a lot of formula per day, especially considering his weight. So he is taking in enough that he should be putting on weight. The disinterest with solids is likely more related to some sort of delay in his development, along with the lack of sitting, not smiling, etc you mentioned before. I wouldn't be pushing anything new on him until you have some answers at this point. I think you are doing everything you can be. Maybe he is just a bit slow, but will come around in his own time. Hoping it's nothing worse mama.

Yeah his Dr said it seems he is eating enough calories but wants a log.to be sure. He isnt concefned with solids right now since.his tummy isnt handling it. He said there must be a reason why isnt absorbing the calories.

Id skip rice cereal for many reasons... start with something like avacado or sweet potatoes. Anyways Im sorry. I bet you are really stressed over this. My 2nd daughter went through a period of about 4 months of not gaining weight. The drs did all kinds of tests and nothing came back abnormal. She was 18lbs at 13 months old. Now she is 4 and is VERY thin and long. She is back on the "charts" and not super small for her age, but she is def thin. People comment that she must not eat. Whatever. I hope its nothing serious, hard to know, some kids really are just small and there is nothing wrong. But if you feel something is wrong it is def worth investigating. Good luck!

...maybe because there isnt a vaccination for RSV...? informed i see..

I didn't say that there was. I was saying that because someone else commented saying that they get their child vaccinated because they don't want them catching RSV or whatever. Read all the comments before making one.
