Cart before the horse

So I decided to look at our local craigslist and other yard sale site for used cribs. We had a great crib that lasted 6 years and through 3 kids. But after #3 we tore it apart and reused the metal frame to make a custom toddler bed. So now that we are TTCing #4 I thought going 2nd hand would be a great idea. WRONG! These people want $200 for a used crib covered in teeth marks! The crib we had cost us $99 new. And was wonderful. But they do not make it anymore. But I did find one I like for like $110. So, we are going to go new again. I have nothing against buying used. We buy a lot of stuff used. But the used cribs in my area must be made with gold screws or something.

people think that just because they paid $400 for their crib, brand new, they need at least 3/4 of that money back for selling it after a year...

thats how our area is too...

luckily ds had just switched to a toddler bed when we found out i was pregnant..

We bought the 1st crib from Once Upon a Child, a second hand store but the crib was new in the box. I will for sure be checking out what they have.

I got a boori sleigh cot (top of the line) cot with drawer underneath plus talbyt plus change table all immaculate condition (they never used it pretty much) for 1k.

I wouldn't get anything with teeth marks.

neither can i. i bought rilan's crib brand new for like $110...and its a convertible..
