how much TV does your LO watch?

the title pretty much says it all.

LO is 9 months, and I'm just curious how much TV other mom's allow their kids to watch around this age.

I've always noticed how DS doesn't technically "watch" the TV as an older child would sit in front of it and actually watch the show. He plays around most of the time with his toys, crawling and what not and stops to look up every now and then or if one of his "favorite" shows are on.

I keep Sprout TV on during play time, and like I said, he stops to watch it here and there for a few seconds, or if a song comes on he'll smile and laugh but I've never seen him totally get into a show, other than The Pajanimals and Caillou, where he pays a little bit more attention.

My tv stays on cartoons... DD is 2.. She maybe watches a hour a day if that, she wont sit still long enough to watch it. But as soon as i try to turn the channel she takes a hissy.

My three year old watches far too much tv. Maybe 3 hours a day. He is playing and running around half of the time, so that makes me feel better.
My 16 month old doesn't really watch tv yet, she just isn't interested.

They watch maybe 2 hours of t.v a day?

Otherwise it's just background noise.. They seem to get really into some shows that are interactive, and that is okay with me.

Um, if hes awake during my 5 year olds tv time he watches 1 hour a day broken up by 30 minutes each time.

Maybe a little more if I'm working out at home, need a shower or need to clean something while the big kid is at school.

Generally we are playing on the floor.

Maybe about an hour or so.. if that..
The cartoons are always on.. but he never watches them. He only watches them when I want to watch my own show.

At that age? None. The tv was always on but they were too busy terrorizing my house to pay attention to it.

that's basically how it is for me. It;s more like background noise for DS, except for like one or two shows where he really gets into it and will sit (for a minute) and watch it, then play again.

I always have him on the floor with his toys.
