Not experiencing BH

i have yet to experience BH and am almost 30 weeks. I've gotten pain in my back/tummy (ligmanet pains), but nothing lower than that. Im a little concerned that I won't know what real contractions feel like when they happen..since they do start off lighter than not.

What are some signs of contractions for a completely unknowing person? Is it normal to not experience BH? Or a bad sign?

You're only 30 weeks. Still pretty early. I'm 37 weeks and have only had BH a few times

I'd hope your not exp BH at 30weeks.a little early.

I've had them since I was 20 weeks...(guess it was bad cause i'm in preterm labor)
Your uterus will rise out of your pelvis and it will feel rock hard...
After you have an orgasm lay in bed flat on your back and feel your tummy, that's kinda what it feels like..

its normal... you can go your whole pregnancy not feeling any BH and then get normal contractions when you go into labor... I'm 38 weeks and haven't had any yet

I did't have BH with my first pregnancy at all!...Some people just don't really have them.
And trust me...You WILL know when you are having contractions!

i have BH all the time...everyday...it feels like your muscles are working out, but there shouldn't be any pain

I dont think I felt them until I was around 36 or 37weeks. And I had my son at 38 w 5 d. Apparently I was having them because my dr would tell me I was. When my tummy kinda tightened up early on, I was just thinking the baby was moving around weird or something, until my dr was like "um no that is Braxton Hicks contractions."
Contractions will consistently be able to be timed.

I'm 34 weeks and haven't had them. My OB said I may never get them. so no worries

Okie, I was confused b/c my doc keeps asking if Im having them yet. I assumed I was suppose to have them by now. Thanks for carifying everyone!

actually... Ive done some research on that and some women get them even before 20 weeks..I was one of them..I even asked my DR about it..he said thats completely normal


but to the OP-alot of women never experience them or don't feel them until really late in the pregnancy..but even if you never feel them its okay
