Her first boo-boo

posted 21st Feb
My poor DD rolled off the couch the other day   I was changing her diaper, sitting right next to her. I started to roll up the dirty diaper and all of a sudden I see her legs go up and then hear crying   She landed on the swing bar and has a little puffy eye and a bruised cheek. She's doing good otherwise, and doesn't even seem to notice her bruises.

But I still get sad seeing them. I know it happens all the time, and it was bound to happen at some point. But I wish I could bubble wrap her, lol. Needless to say, when I change her downstairs now I keep my leg parallel to the couch while I wrap the dirty diaper lol.

Here's my little booboo baby

I TOTALLY know what you mean! My son is 14 almost 15 months old now, and he did that ALL the time, and we have tile floors with a rug over them so its not very cushioned. A couple times I think what freaked him out more was our reaction! Lol. Now he still falls and cries and I am less worried, but I still have those moments like you do, where I just wanna wrap him in bubble wrap. He started walking on 1/1/13 and here he is trying to run around my house and sometimes he falls forward from trying to run too fast and hit his head. /:
But you are right, it was bound to happen! Best of luck!

Aww poor boy! We have not very soft carpet, plus to top it off the part she fell on is in between the living room and an addition so the floor is plywood, which is not very forgiving. And the fact she hit the swing on the way down. And I'm sure when she's bigger I won't panic as badly, haha when she fell I swear I stopped breathing and my heart stopped lol.
But thank you
