Maybe there should be a 3 strike rule? I'm not 100% on how that would work though.
Maybe if you get so many reports, say 10 because of a comment, you get 10 reports, that is one strike, then another 10, 2 strikes, you get the drift.
Then again like someone said, if you don't like someones yewneek name you might get a few reports. /shrug

And that's the thing...it gets too tough to determine what's reportable and what's not. I mean, then I could snap on anybody I don't agree with and report them, which would be just stupid. But some people would do it.

True. Or if they write a little bit why they are reporting, there could be more mods that determine if it's strike worthy?
Still, no idea. That's probably really difficult to do.

I think there's definitely a difference between being an smurf and being a bully/abusive to a person. If you strongly disagree with a person, that's very different than telling them to go kill themselves, that they're worthless as a mother, etc. I'm not sure really how to establish a clear line that all members have to abide by, but I do think bullying should be handled and not just ignored, as it often can be.

I vote no, because really, its the internet. Its going to happen everywhere. And once that rule has been made, people will keep getting their feelings hurt over just any thing. We are all adults. Why should we have to censor ourselves?

I know there are mods. But if it's already handled, then why the poll? I do think true bullies should be banned. Not someone who's an smurf, but someone who is harassing another member, attacking someone etc - in my opinion it should be a bannable offense.
