dude's last name is a fairly common one, but just spelled in a messed up way!

I'm married but didn't change my last name. I gave DD DH's last name but I was going for a joint last name mylastname~hislastname (forgot actual term lol) but I eventually gave in to DH and just gave DD his last name.

My husband adopted him last January though, so we changed it to his last name, which I also have. But for a while we were rockin' three last names. Really threw people off, everyone knew DH as DS's dad, because sperm donor was THAT uninvolved.

We were not married when we had our first two kids. I still gave them his last name. Mainly because I was 100% sure that I was going to marry him.and take his last name anyways. Our next child, obviously got his last name too.

and yeah, my son's bio dad wasn't around while i was pregnant /his birth/not on the birth certificate/etc etc so it wasn't even a thought in my head to give him any other last name but mine.

that we'll get married, our daughter will drop my last name from the hyphenated name and baby three will already have his last name.
my son'll keep my last name though.
