Another thing is after she's treated, suggest her Grandma or Father buy her some Tea Tree Oil Shampoo and Conditioner with Mint. It really helps keep them at bay, they hate the stuff.

i hate recommending anything and getting a "whats that we don't have it here " 

olive oil makes it sooo easy

Lavender essential oil put in shampoo and conditioner helps too. My sisters 5 girls all had head lice last summer, and found that was the only thing that helped.

comb out what you can and put Vasaline in the girls hair and put a shower cap on. Leave it in over night. It will be super hard to get all of the vasaline out, but it will suffocate anything that is left in the hair and it will die.
Tea tree oil will prevent them from coming back. I buy it at our health food store, straight tee tree oil. After every shower my daughter puts a tiny bit in her wet hair. It really helps.

I dont know about getting out the eggs but I do know that Mayo kills lice and so does olive oil. My mom used both on me and my little brother when we were little. It doesnt smell good but it works and is cheaper than having to go out and buy lice shampoo.

my mom found that crisco the paste u use for cooking works to kill lice and their eggs use it on the girls head and wash her hair with a tiny bit of dawn dish soap. and conditionerr it really well. and then go through her hhead and use a fine tooth comb to comb out any left over eggs. it works but yea her grandmaw is gonna have to wash EVERYTHING her head touched and bag up her stuffed animals.
