these questions/vents/rants are anonymous but this one is like duh...

Fan Vent: I'm going to try to say this in a nice way. But I an furious that people cannot wash their hands properly. My son has been sick for over a week now. Done been to the er for treatment. Nothing has help him. He has loss some weight which isn't healthy for him since he is already under. He hasnt poop for over a week, and throws up all day. Now his specialist said they need to do some xrays on him, because he has been throwing up way to much that it might of affect his intensities, and esophagus, which if that's the case he might need surgery to fix it. He is only 7 months old. So I'm furious that people can't take at least 30 sec to wash their hands. The last place we went out too was Applebee's and my son sat in the high chair there where I'm pretty sure another sick child sat there before him. It show how lazy people are how hard is it to wipe down and sanitize areas in a restaurant. For now on I'm going to carry around a can of Lysol and Lysol wipes. And when ask what I'm doing my answer back will be since people are too lazy to sanitize, and wash surface areas, and their hands I have to protect my child from getting it. Its not that hard people, your actually saving a life, I'm pretty sure some other child has gotten what my son has caught, I just pray that child does better and no mom has to go through what I'm going through right now. End rant.

First off, Flu is a respiratory infection, so if he's vomiting, he probably has some sort of intestinal virus.

Secondly, it is HER job to protect her Child, not every one who came before her. You can't assume that people clean up after themselves, it's your responsibility to do it.

First off, I agree with her completely. It pisses me off so badly that people cant take the time to wash their hands. Especially in public restrooms... I hate when people just turn the faucet on, run the water over their hands for two seconds without soap or anything, then they're done.. It's gross.

Secondly, the way she words it, It sounds like her kid has constipation... which isn't contagious. idk haha.

I agree, she acts like people are suppose to sanitize their life so she doesn't have too LOL. I sanitize probably too much. Before we sit down at a restaurant no matter HOW clean it looks we still wipe it down and we use the cover for the highchair.

I do that, you know why no you don't. You have no idea if those people are going out and then using hand sanitizer. You pick up more germs AFTER washing your hands in a public bathroom. And I happen to be extremely allergic to most the soaps they use. I rinse my hands, dry them, and then use sanitizer. Quit being a judgemental twat.

ACTUALLY. as long as you dont touch anything after, you don't pick up more germs after washing your hands. That statement was pure stupidity. Hand sanitizer really doesnt kill much, it actually kills the good bacteria on your hands. So i guess it would be okay for me to take a smurf at your house and not wash my hands and touch everything. Guess you'd be alright with that huh? Who's the judgemental twat now?

I agree it's the parent's job, but at the same time some people think its okay to bring their kids out when they're really sick. And im not just talking about places they HAVE to go to or anything like that.. Chuck E cheese for example. If my kid was puking her brains out the day before, I would at least have enough courtesy to not bring her out and infect everyone. A big cause of the norovirus is from people not hand washing. Idk why people dont get that.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. But the woman who made the post said

since people are too lazy to sanitize, and wash surface areas, and their hands I have to protect my child from getting it.

But, she should be trying to protect her child from that stuff anyway. I always keep sanitizing wipes in the diaper bag and my baby isn't going to sit in a high chair in a restaurant until I wipe it down. Same goes for grocery carts and basically everything else. It's kind of common sense to me. People carry around things they don't know they have, so she shouldn't be bitching about how it's everyone Else's responsibility to clean things so her child doesn't get sick.

I totally agree with you. She sure did make it seem that everyone else needs to sanitize and clean everything before her child goes in so she doesn't have to. To me that is being lazy. I'd clean it no matter what. Just like tonight, they JUST cleaned the table and wiped the highchair down but my hubby still wiped the table and the highchair, plus we had the cover for it too.
