Insurance question (totally clueless!)

So this is the first time I've had to deal with insurance. With my first pregnancy I had medicaid and before that I was under my dad's and he handled everything. Well I just for a BFP so I need to set up an appt and I don't think the dr I had with DD accepts our insurance (their search sucks and nothing shows up when I try and search for a OBGYN). Can I still go to that dr and just pay the higher fees or will they not see me because they don't accept my insurance? Sorry if this is a stupid question  

If they don't accept your insurance you'll have to pay everything out of pocket, as if you didn't have any insurance. You can call them and ask if they take it.

Depends on the type of insurance you have. Call the office first and ask if they take your insurance. If not call your insurance and either ask for a list of ob's who do or ask what your out of network cost would be.
