summer tuition - omg moment.

So this semester I only took two classes. Over the summer I'm back up to twelve, a full course load at my school.

YAY:
- Can start my junior classes in fall (I have my AA in psych and I'm working on my BSW, but not all of my classes transferred as the gen eds for the university I attend)
- Can apply to the SW major next spring.
- Can possibly get my BSW byyyyy the end of next year!



Bad news.
Tuition over the summer, which makes graduating in dec '14 slightly maybe possibly possible, is going to cost a smurf ton.

How did you pay your tuition?
If you had a payment plan, did the semester have to be paid off at the end of the school year?
Do online scholarships really pay out? How does that work?
How do private loans work, and do you need a cosigner?

I have pell grant and student loans. There's no way I could pay out of pocket.

I'm also upping my load for the next sem and I'm scared smurfless. But I'll get done in sept instead of dec. so I'm gonna have to suck it up and push through.

I think I'll get 1800 for the pell grant for that semester... idk about maximum subsidized loan amounts, though.

I use the pell grant, cal grant (competitive) and scholarships. So far I've had everything paid for and should finish my degree debt free thankfully.
A lot of people overlook scholarships. It doesn't hurt to apply for them and you'll be glad you did if you're awarded some.

Student/private loans. I usually had to pay out-of-pocket too, as my loans didn't cover books, uniforms, supplies, etc. As far as the private loans go, you can't get an in-school deferment, so you'll have to pay on it while in school and the interest is outrageous.

I think I get 13k a year. That covers books and I get a refund check each sem to help with other costs. I never picked an Amt. they gave me that amt. I could have lessened my amt but I need the refund checks

I realllllly do too   But if I can't get 'em... idk. I mean, I have seriously cut down to the bare minimum on EVERYTHING and I'm not quite sure how to handle this. I'm googling scholarships right now... there has be SOME, even a few hundred here and there would be awesome.
