So i was scrolling down my news feed on Facebook and one of the pages i had liked was talking about circumcising a girl. I've never heard of this before. How would one circumcise a girl?

I know it's pretty common in some other cultures. I know it can include sewing the vagina either fully or partially closed or the removal of the clitoris.

REALLY it depends on the region. In some places, all external genitalia is cut off and stitched up leaving only a small hole for urine/blood to pass through.

Other places, they cut off the inner labia and clitoris.

In other places, they cut off just the clitoris.

And lastly in some places, they cut off a small piece of skin from the clitoral hood.

in some cultures, they remove the clitoris so the girl cant orgasm...at least thats my understanding. along with religious reasons

They do it in parts of my country (the north).

Luckily, I am from a different area of Iraq than where it's done. Not sure what's most common in my country but it varies between partial to full clitoral removal and some families remove the labia as well.

Yikes. I like my clit.
