I just want to cover the seat cushions on this couch. I got it off craigslist and the only problem with the thing is that the leather on cuchions your butt goes on are worn. I need a inexpensive way to maybe cover or fix them.

the cushions com off if that helps any.

Well you could just cover them with a sheet or a blanket. Thats what I do with mine but if you want to make all new covers take the old covers apart and use them as a pattern to sew new ones.

Not if you picked the right material and color. My couch is suede and leather, I picked a light cream colored woven throw to cover mine with.

I'd pick a color that will coordinate with your color scheme and then get some colorful decorative pillows to bring it all together.

Oh that looks really good! do you think using a dark brow or tan on mine would be bad? I wanna match it with the rug i already hae which has cream, tan, dark brown, gree, and blue in it

It might! I'm not sure what color I would use with a white background. I would probably play around with a blue or green, lighter colors and leave the darker color pop for the pillows. Sometimes when I'm trying to match up colors I use my paint program to draw a crappy little replica of whatever I'm matching up and use color samples to see what I like.

No problem! Hope it comes out the way you want! A side note though, since it's a leather couch, thin sheets are going to slide around a lot which would annoy the crap out of me.

I'm not sure. You could maybe cut the sheet to fit, re-hem it and put velcro or buttons on the bottom of the cushions and sides of the sheet so you can secure the cover firmly but still remove it easily to wash.

Or find some sort of iron on plastic gripper things that are safe to wash and dry.
