Why can't I just be normal?

Last night I got a little sore throat. No biggie

Today I have a runny nose and a sore throat. Little headache and my tummy kind hurts

All signs of a simple, general ailment, right?

Not in my head. being sick gets me extremely anxious, and being anxious in turn makes me feel sicker.

Rationally, I know that this is no big deal. But my anxiety is like "go to the ER, you're dying, you need help, you'll die in your sleep and Cora will be cuddling your corpse"

and those thoughts make me even more sick, and even more anxious

and I don't know how to stop it all. I'm about to have a full on panic attack and I'm all alone with Cora.

Here's hoping I can toss her my iPod and she can watch a netflix movie while I veg out for a few and try to calm myself down.

I have had that morbid day and while I'm sorry you are feeling poor, I'm a little relieved that I'm not the only person that points from Point A to Point D(ead)  .

it is one of my biggest fears

I am a single SAHM mom, and Cora isn't in school. We have no committments anywhere. Nobody would think to look for us for days

Wouldn't help, I'm always logged in. But thanks for the thought.

I think my mom would notice if I didn't respond to an email, but I don't know that she would actually check in my apartment for me

I'm terrible. High anxiety and like, uber hypochondriac. It drives my boyfriend NUTS. I don't even take medicine/pills because I'm paranoid they're going to make me sick or make my heart stop or something, then I freak myself out, go into a frenzy and panic, feeling like I can;t breathe because I've convinced myself something is wrong..
