whats worse

My ex brought my son to a pagan church. I have never brought him into a church. But hes mad because I bought him a cross neckless. He says my son is not allowed to have a set religion. I think thats wrong.

Sounds like you two should be talking about the issue instead of worrying about whose action was worse.

Ah, one of those guys.

Then I would ignore him and do what I felt was best for my son. When, or if, he feels like being an adult then I would discuss it and try and find a medium.

I don't think either are bad, honestly. We don't raise our kids with a set religion, we just expose them to everything as best as we can. We were both raised in two faith homes with divorced parents who still practiced their faiths, and we still went to both churches and synogogues and celebrated all the holidays and customs involved.

I think both are kind of bad, but I'm against pushing religions on kids. I'm pagan, but my kids are not. They do not follow anything, because I wont let them until they are old enough to understand.

I didn't vote because there is no option for them both being as bad as each other.

Neither is better or worse as both are equal attempts not only to push a religion on a child, but also attempts to use the child as a weapon and pawn to snipe at the other parent.

I don't think children should have a set religion just because mommy and daddy want to have one. It's more than possible to not expose a child to your religion and celebrate it yourself. I think raising your child as one religion while knowing your other half wants to expose them to more than that is disrespectful to your SO and just wrong.

Children should be able to be exposed to many religions, and when they are old enough to make an informed decision, then they can choose a religion. Themselves. Not mommy or daddy shoving their religion down the kids' throats.

Then your ex is free to take his son to a "pagan church."
