Muslims exempt from obamacare?

Is it true?

If so, what's holding everyone back from claiming muslim as their religion?

What do you think about this? Is it fair to everyone else who is going to be taxed because they don't want to be forced to get health insurance or just can't afford it?

Do you think they should be allowed to opt out but still have to pay the fine like everyone else?

Why would they be exempt?

That doesn't sound right at all. Gambling? No, this sounds like a far right wing spin to try and shock people by connecting the "oh no! Muslims!" reaction with the "Obamacare is a gamble!" reaction. No, faith related exemptions in medicine are generally things like Jehovah's witnesses refusing blood transfusions. I haven't seen anything to do with this myself, so maybe I've just missed some massive news, but I'd put money on that being bull.

I could claim jail is against my religion and therefor I shouldn't have to be incarcerated even if I break the law. Obamacare is law, so the same rules should apply.

If they are able to refuse, everyone should be able to.

Everything I've read says it's true, that health care is forbidden to them for whatever reason. They say that paying money out for something and not guaranteeing a return is gambling.

Obamacare is suppose to make it so all the people who can not afford insurance CAN afford it I thought? So why would they not be able to afford it when it's been made affordable for them? They aren't just going "NO SmUrf YOU YOU MUST HAVE INSURANCE WE DONT CARE IF THAT'S YOUR FOOD MONEY!" The whole thing was to make changes so that people who couldn't currently afford it could get it?

I imagine if any one would be exempt religion wise it would be christian scientists since they don't believe in doctors and wouldn't actually use the insurance no matter what.

From what I gather the law doesnt "specifically" exempt muslims, but it exempts peoples religions that a loop hole can be applied..

Like all the other Obamacare fear mongering, this is just a case of them taking a legal technicality and distorting it into something ugly. Besides, all Muslims in us ker-azy socialized medicine countries have been paying into the system for years just fine. Just like everyone else.
