re: Muslims exempt from obamacare?

Idk I skimmed over it briefly... And I'm just feeling if some people can be exempt we should all be able to apply to be exempt... It just doesn't seem fair really...

Like someone said it's like saying "Being incarcerated is against my belief system so I'm going to apply to be exempt even though I broke the law"

Obamacare is supposed to be a law you can't make an exception to a law for a group of people amish, muslim, christian scientist, or what have you and not expect people to protest or "cry like babies" in unfairness lol

I believe the amish are exempt. they are exempy froma lot.
I'm doubtful about muslims being exempt.
IMO, as citizens of a free country, anyone shold be able to be exempt from the massive program.

I actually do fully agree with that. However I really don't think it's as simple as just saying it's against your religion and getting out of it. After all, honor killings are part of certain religions, still illegal. Female circumcision? Still illegal. Hell, if we're getting literal with the bible all Jews and Christians could walk around raping and stoning people to death and claim freedom of religion. Now obviously something like an insurance mandate is a little different and leaves more opportunity for exemptions, but I highly highly highly doubt it's actually going to play out that way. Muslims will still be insured.

Okay, a few groups are exempt. I don't thinkt hey should be, that's for sure.

where I live they all have insurance so what do you mean?
