posted 20th Feb
I use recieving blankets for everything when I have a newb. They are my best friend.

I don't want to buy them individually this time around because, well, I buy so many. lol Anyone looking to get rid of all of theirs for a fair price? Let me know!

I was the same. With my second I bought a few 12 packs of flannel nappies ( diapers) they're like the olden days nappies, big squares of cloth.
I still use them and eventually cut them up to use as kitchen cloths.

That would work too. I am an addict...I need one with me at all times...sometimes two!   Thanks!

Do you know what I mean? They're not thick like receiving blankets- although I don't know what receiving blankets actually are, I think it's what we call bunny rugs ( Australians are weird). Like the rugs you swaddle with?
I couldn't have survived without my cloth nappies, you can bleach them, they're soft enough to wipe faces, use to change baby on etc. I used them for under sheets as a wet guard, as bibs- you can tie them! And as vomit rags!

I think that ours are like your "bunny rugs." We use them for swaddling, propping, neck rolls, wiping up spit, makeshift changing spots, burp rags, etc.

I think yours are more like the cloth diapers and I use those alot too for everything. The blankets are just prettier usually.

You want to know when you become a fat pregnant woman?

When your students ask you what you want for your birthday and all of your answers are food related.

Lol at bunny rugs. Australian language cracks me up. Although receiving blanket is kind of weird. Like is it what your baby is wearing to receive gifts?

You wouldnt even really need to sew them, most flannel is structurally sound enough to not need to be hemmed
