in this situation i would put my nose all in it when so wasnt around. i would point blank tell her if she cant get over it and wants to carry the bitterness in her heart for the rest of her life over a dead man then fine but she needs to close her trap when so is around bc she is passing down all her hurt to him.

Have you tried telling her that the only person she hurts is her son when she trash talks his dad in front of him? It's not hurting her dead ex, its hurting her son.

My grandma raised me and trash talked my mom and dad for years and I finally broke down and told her that and surprisingly she stopped. I was shocked!
