Awh its alright. You didn't know better. At least you came on here and asked.

Alot of old school parenting ideas are so wrong so don't sweat it

how often do you put oil on it till it's gone? is rubbing oil on it enough or do you necessarily need to use a comb or brush? how often would you bathe her till it's gone?

shes dumb lol. my mil tried telling me that crap. sophies pedi said at the age she got it around 6 months that a bath 2x a week was fine. unless she exploded or something.

Also, if your using Johnsons, it is really bad for drying out skin.

Switch to Aveeno or Dove.

bath her like 3x a week nothing crazy. you dont scrub. you just brush it in so all the skin gets access to the oil. like i said the tear free suave kids conditioner stopped it for dd

I put oil in his hair just once a day and I would run a comb through his hair to get anything that is close to, or has fallen off, off. I just used regular baby oil. & I only bathed him about once every 3 days.

It takes about a week to really get it off. It's really not that big of a deal, especially since it's a tiny patch.

i was using this

then her pedi said to stop using it because she's getting eczema (though i don't think that's what it is). so i started using this.

and the other day i used this for the 1st time because the back of her hair was looking dry. i only put it on the back so i didn't risk getting it in her eyes.

I would compare the ingredients on the two yellow bottles just to mak sure it's not the same thing.

I second the dove, that stuff is crazy awesome moisturizey
Also, no more tears, is a lie. Try getting some of it in your eye ;)

Yeah all that is no good cause its scented and soapy. When my son had dry skin/eczema, his pedi recommended Dove. Since that's what I use anyway, it was an easy switch. It's unscented and very gentle so you can use it on her hair.

Try using an unscented lotion like Eucerin or Cetaphil on her body, just in case the rest of her skin is getting dry too.

Put olive oil on the cradle cap everyday.

Mine gets cradle cap if I use shampoo on her head. When I just use water, she's fine. Perhaps you should wash her a bit less.
