re: Bartending?

I wprk at a bar and a closing bartender can make 400-600 dollars on a busy night. We are a restraunt also, not a club. Clubs make more most of the time.

Not necessarily! I know a lot of the "higher class restaurants" (keep in mind I live in a smurffy city) like The Keg, a lot of the high class business men go there for dinners and leave very generous tips (sometimes 50-100$ depending on how big the group is).

I wouldnt want my SO being around drunk bitches until the early morning hours. It would make me feel uncomfortable.

But if I were you, I would go tell him to apply first to see if he can get by without having the class.

This is where trust comes into play.... BUT I wouldn't trust drunk girls around my SO either. lol.

My sister made 400 dollars in tips in one night of bartending.

I bartended for two years prior to joining the Navy. It paid well........if you can find a decent place. It took four bartending jobs at other places to FINALLY find a good place to work. I ended up joining the Navy because it didn't quite pay well enough. It was an OK job, but I hated the hours and I took in a butt ton of second hand smoke. My sleep schedule sucked. I was always working when my friends were out. I was always sleeping when everyone else was at work. I made ALOT of money once I got to the right place, but I worked my butt off for that money. I made $400 on one wedding that I worked. The best weekend that I ever had, I made over $1,000. BUT, I think that female bartenders do much better in tips than guys do.......the pretty ones anyway. Good looking guys do alright, but an average looking woman will still make more money than a good looking guy. Just stating facts.

California has strict smoking laws, thankfully.
and he'll be working at a gay bar so we hope he'll be a big hit there like he was when he just visited one with friends.
