Other people holding your baby.

Whenever my aunt comes over she immediately picks up my 5 month old.. She'll take her out of the swing or ask to hold her when she's in my arms. It's annoying. A lot of people in my family ask to hold her. I'm just wondering how would you feel about this and how do you politely say no?

I never really had an issue with people holding my baby, but I understand why it makes some moms uncomfortable. You'll just have to stand your ground. Regardless of how tactfully you put it, some people will still think it's "rude" (although it really isn't).

Why can't she hold her? I don't see anything wrong with her wanting to but that's just me. If you have a problem with it just tell her what's up and stand your ground. You're her mom you make the rules.

I don't really understand the problem lol. I would gladly hand over my baby to family members if they wanted him. If it's someone I don't know well that's a different story but I see no reason not to let family hold my baby.

Why does it bother you? She's your aunt. If she's waking her up from the swing, then I'd tell her to let baby sleep. But asking to hold her when she comes over wouldn't bother me.

I'm glad people love my kids enough that they want to hold them and cuddle them. I think it would be weird and possevie not too.

But if its for that long and it bothers you just say so.

Pssh i told them to take that kid while i took a nap lol. I never had issue with other ppl holding my kids everyone deserved thier cuddle time!

As long as its not someone I hate (lol) I don't mind for anyone to hold my kids for any length of time, as long as my boys are cool with it

Why lol? You can hold her the other 22 hours of the day if you want.
