Even though he was diagnosed by as psychiatrist ( is referring him to a developmental pediatrician but the waitlist is 6-7 months just to get acc appointment! I Google this doctor to get reviews and since people said it took 2-3 YEARS! My state needs more developmental specialistas "/ )
Anyway. The school wants to do their own evaluation of him in many areas. He needs a blood test for glutton and an EEG. ( his mother, uncle, and grandfather all have epilepsy but different types and he stares off) I signed a form stating I'd get a physical from his primary ped. I don't think he'd let a stranger do it.
I told them about all his issues including the violent meltdowns and his teacher and speech therapist agreed and mentioned additional issues they've noticed. She saw many red flags. I assume they'll get files from his out patient therapy he's been going to.
They seem very thorough and caring. Besides hearing he's made zero academic progress, I was very happy.
