Quoting *Mac and Keagan's Momma*:" <blockquote><b>Quoting motherofboys:</b>" It sound as if high platelets can be a result ... [snip!] ... be well. That is what I will be hoping for as well."</blockquote> Thank you. I am so hoping it is nothing serious."
I'm sure it's nothing so serious as the more worst case scenarios, I always like be well informed though, from the sounds of it her bronchial tubes are simply inflamed and her body is having a perfectly normal reaction to that inflammation. In an older adult who've had years of possible bad eating habits and such high platelets could be a very bad thing, but for a 2 year old it shouldn't be much of an issue. I hope she feels better very soon and that your worry for her eases. I feel the nurse should have tried to be clearer and more precise with her answers as it's making you worry unnecessarily, but unfortunately not everyone communicates easily and this can cause a lot of confusion on the listeners part, lol, I myself have a hard time communicating clearly when speaking verbally. It's so much easier to communicate with writing I think.
