Went to visit work...

I worked as an assistant in a Kindergarten room before everything happened. I was so excited to see all my kiddos and the teachers. I was only there 5 minutes before one girl came up to me and said "Mrs. M, where did your baby go?!" while pointing to my stomach. Ouch.
By the 5th kid asking when it came out, or if it was a boy or girl, I realized as much as I loved it, I could never go back to work there if a position opened up. Blah. What a punch in the stomach

Sorry for your loss but they are just kids...

I very sorry to hear that. Hopefully one day you can return to your work and find joy again.

Oh I know. They don't know what happened and are so innocent. I just smiled and said oh we can talk about that sometime later, and changed the subject.

I'm So sorry. That has to be hard   so youre not going bak to work there? I was worried about the same thing when my Abby's life was threatened. I wondered how I would tell the kids if the baby died or if I would tell them. If I would go back or not. What they would say   *hugs*

We didn't really tell my students I was preg until I was way fatter akin and showing well. I think around 20 weeks maybe more. We told the parents in a newsletter when we were looking for a sub. And it was a month or so later before any kids made a comment "you know why miss Laura's getting fatter? She's gonna have a baby" haha.

I quit there because there was an outbreak of Fifths Disease and my blood test showed I wasnt immune to it. My Dr said he wasnt comfortable with my work situation, but it was generally up to me.
We could afford for me to quit, so I did. I showed super quick, so they kids all knew by the time I was 8 or 9 weeks. They began asking me if there was a baby in my belly. Plus we had to talk to them about how they couldnt run up and jump on me (mostly for one kid who has Autism, he loved to do that).
My principal said today they would hire me back in a heartbeat if a position opens, I just dont think I could go back since all the kids had so many questions.
I've been gone from there almost 2 months, so i guess I just figured at 5 and 6 years old they might forget the fact I was having a baby before. They were so excited to see me and I got tons of hugs, then when it settled down all the questions began about the baby.

I think it'd die down eventually but I understand it's still probably hard for u to talk about and have them ask about. We had an outbreak Of fifths disease when I was preg too. My peri just monitored my blood in case I got it. They were concerned but not that concerned where I couldn't work.

I was just super careful and protective of the pregnancy I think. It took 2 years and Clomid to even get pregnant, and I wasnt doing anything to jeopardize it. Not immune to Fifths? Sure I'll quit. I refused to eat lunch meat, caffeine, etc. I played everything by the books.

It took us two years and clomid too   I was farther though when fifths broke out so maybe that's the diff. It's worse early on. Are you guys trying again?

It's only been 3 weeks and since I was further along and had to give birth we got the 6 weeks no sex rule. I'm kinda stuck though, my husband has already made it pretty clear he doesn't want to try again, but I do. I'm not sure what we'll end up doing..

Awwe. Maybe after some healing time. Don't rush it. I've had friends rush it and ended up with another m/c cause their body just wasn't ready yet.
