could he be ready?

my 17 month old is so interested in the potty. he follows me every time i go. he has even started mimicking me and pulling his pants down. when we're in the bathroom he always points to the potty and says "sit," he loves to sit down on it. 17 months seems awfully young to try and potty train, but he genuinely seems interested in it. he also always lets me know when he's peeing my grabbing at his diaper, and when he poops he does the sign for poop. i hadnt even considered potty training him until he turned 3. could he possibly be ready soon?

He could be. Nevver hurts to try. My. DD was potty trained by about 26months.
