My husband was there both times during both labors. Second was an induction.
Both labors went super fast and he spent the whole time by me holding my hand and encouraging me.
He also stayed with me in the hospital both times (with oir 2nd our son got to stay too.)

Sat with me haha. We had family there while it was calm so we had lots of company. I kicked them out once it got intense and then he helped me like a normal labor.

ate and drank in front of me. Pissed me off so bad.

DH sat right beside me the entire time because I was scared and the only person I wanted to be around me was him.

Sat and there and bitched at me was tired and his legs hurt, he didn't want to walk around with me for #1. #2 is was a 3 days thing so he basically just sat around and slept.

I was just wondering because I know before it's too intense I'll totally be hogging the laptop and I actually felt bad about that. I'll be induced sometime this weekend if they don't do a c-section. So I was just wondering. He said he would probably play angry birds the whole time. Saying he might finally beat it. He's such a man-child. I WOULD BE SO pissed if he ate/drank in front of me. I think he'd know better.

He paced the room the whole time lol. He has a hard time handling people in pain and I went all natural. He did such a good job, I was so proud of him! Lol. He stayed in the hospital with us as well. With this one, DD will be staying with my mom (I am due smack dab in the middle of April Vacation, which works out pretty well, as long as everything goes as planned). He will stay the whole time again.

The first time he sat in the corner with my dad crying because it was scary and he almost passed out. The second time he rubbed my back, feet, shoulders whatever I asked him to rub. Paced the halls with me a million times, rubbed my back I the shower, held my hand, told me jokes, read to me from a book, ate breakfast and lunch with me, called the nurse in when my water broke, counted during pushes, kept and eye on things down below to let me know how close we were, helped the doctor pull her out, and all the way theough labor he was just my representative. if they needed to ask me a question they knew to go through him and he would relay it to me in a way that was calm and supportive. He made sure the nurses and doctors were being patient and respectful to me. For our second baby he did exactly what she is supposed to do and helped and supported me anyway I needed him to during labor. he was amazing.
Even though I punched him in the face and broke his glasses while pushing our little 9lb bundle of joy out. Lol he's such a smurfing rockstar.

The first time he talked to me on the phone because he was in Afghanistan.
The second time he held our 2.5 year old up in his arms and stood by my side because our babysitter hadn't gotten there in time and I was pushing within minutes of getting to the hospital.

Why couldnt you eat? I ate and drank through my whole labor. we actually walked down to the cafeteria for breakfast a few hours after we were admitted and I had a huge muffin and a bunch of fruit. It was lovely lol.
But I also refused having an IV unless we hit a problem.
