how many times....

Do you ask your child to do something before they do it. My 5 year old is driving me insane! I have to ask him to do something at least 6 times I ask him nicely over and over then I get frustrated and he ignores me or says I knew I know but yet continues but to do it. Then I end up yelling. I try so hard to be patient but it's every single time I ask him to do something! Its with anything or he has an excuse of why he shouldn't do it. I take privileges away, time out. Ughhh im at a loss here. In losing my relationship with him over this and I dont know what to do. He is the top of his class at school and has never gotten in trouble. His teacher only has wonderful things to say why is he so great there and so not like that at home?

My 10 yr old who has adhd and behavior issues with complusive behaviors etc....a million times to do something. lol Drives me nuts too, I feel like I am constantly nagging her all day long (when not in school)

My 4 yr old only needs to be asked 1-2 times, depending lol she is usually eager to do whatever I ask her too. lol

I have a 4 and 6 year old. They usually never do what I ask the first or even second time. It's the 3rd time when I give them 'the look' that they do it.
