ER will probably be a waste of time. last year my baby was screaming and clawing at her stomach. she wasn't pooping, and couldn't sleep. I took her in, the nurse checked her temperature and her ears... the doctor told me her ears were clear, so there was no infection. there was no fever so there was nothing he could do... WTH? we didn't come in for an ear ache... they discharged us after about 10 minutes. in the car she continued to scream. I took her to a different ER. they did an Xray, and noticed she was blocked up. all the did was tell me to get suppositories and laxatives...

poor kid! if you don't do anything tonight, tomorrow I'd give him prune juice or prunes, make sure he stays active. Let him run around, not sit down much, lots of water too. If he's sitting on the toilet and it's right there, have him rock back and forth while pushing. Might help. Sounds like he might need an enema though. Is he drinking/eating lots of dairy that could be blocking him up? Hope he goes soon.

Thank, Ladies. The nurse called back and said to take him(can't remember if I already wrote that) so we did. It was kinda sort of a waste of time, but we did learn what to do for him since this is a chronic problem....just not this long. Last night he woke up a few times dry heaving. I'm assuming from stomach spasms because he never emptied his stomach like he would if he has a stomach bug. We're going back to our family prac. this morning because they're concerned that he still hasn't gone. Also, last night when we were getting ready to take our boy, our 8 month old daughter was in her pumpkin seat on the table unbuckled because I had told my husband to wait a second while I got her jammies to wear. I was getting her jammies and he walked into the other room to get his wallet and she leaned forward and fell out feel first then landed and fell forward onto her face. We're taking her in today because she won't put any weight on her left leg and it's pretty limp. My cousin's boy broke his arm at the same age and he barely acted like it hurt, he just couldn't put weight on it and it was limp. So I'm now taking both my kids into the doctor. (sigh) When it rains it pours.

BTW, we know we should never have left her unbuckled so no harsh talk! ;)

Awww, poor little babies! I would hope nobody would say anything about it, we all make mistakes and you obviously feel bad enough already. Hopefully everybody's feeling better in no time. Chin up, it'll get better!

My son pooped 4 times at the doctor's office! SUCCESS! Such a relief.

My little girl's x-ray looked okay, but the doctor was out so he will have to take a closer look. There was a spot on the lower part of the big bone in her leg that bowed out and was kinda iffy. We're just keeping an eye on it and see how she dose. If she doesn't get better then we'll have to take her back in.
